VERY NICE BED AND BREAKFAST IN ROSNAY NEAR REIMS

We stayed with David and Nathalie at the "Les Lavandieres" B&B in a village called Rosnay. Rosnay itself is a small and absolutely perfect French village about 10 minutes drive outside Reims.

Les Lavandieres itself is extremely pleasant. When we stayed it had recently been refurbished and was very modern, comfortable and clean.

The breakfast in the morning is classic French with fresh fruit, ham, baguettes, croissants, jam, yoghurt, tea and coffee. All nicely laid out in the main room. More than enough for a hard day touring champagne houses and vineyards!!

Reims has a great selection of nice restaurants, however, if you want, Nathalie can prepare an evening meal (which is delicious).

Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in a picturesque French village just outside Reims then this place is perfect.

The only point to make is that you will need a car. Taxi's are an option but they are expensive, for example, a taxi ride from Rosnay to Reims will cost around 35 Euros.

We stayed at Les Lavandieres from 1st - 4th May. Both David and Natalie were splendid hosts and went out of their way to make our stay very special. The Gite is very comfortable and clean and the rooms are large. Transport is needed as Rosnay itself does not have any bars or resturants. A sat nav is a must!

I would certainly recommend this Gite and will most probably stay there again.



HIDDEN GEM,AN  ABSOLUTE DELIGHT

stayed with David and Nathalie with my dad and aunt on 10 September. We drove from Lille having caught the Eurostar from St Pancras in London. We had a map and a sat nav, it was easy to reach and there was ample parking.

Rosnay was a delightful village south west of Reims, picture postcard views across the champagne vineyards in a small typical village (worth a walk around if you have time, the church, châteaux, very friendly horses and memorial to a farmer who 'disappeared in the middle of the night' are well worth exploring).

Les Lavandieres was a delight to visit. Both David and Nathalie were wonderful hosts. We cannot recommend the dinner, b&b option highly enough, a delicious home cooked french evening supper with wine was very welcome, incredible value and absolutely lovely.

Large, spacious, spotless and tasteful rooms, very comfortable beds, very yummy breakfast. A joy to visit, and having stayed in an overpriced and under achieved hotel in Reims before I would recommend this hands down for ambience and for a taste of real france. My dad and aunt used their french to perfection, an absolute delight.

Repas copieux et excellents.
Les propriétaires nous ont fait découvrir un petit vignole indépendant de champagne géré par une famille passionnée.

Avons passé 2 nuits aux Lavandières. Accueil chaleureux et familial. Très bonne table d'hôtes et chambres confortables au calme. Très reposant après une journée de visites.
Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Table très joliment dressée par Nathalie - Nourriture excellente - Vins selectionnés et servis par David étaient super bons et bien adaptés au différents mets.
Avons passé un séjour de 3 nuités
Franchement à conseiller à tous pour visiter Reims et environs et pour goûter au et à la Champagne.
Encore merci pour ce séjour dans ce charmant village de Rosnay.
